Pune: Demand To Change Name Of Janjira Fort To ‘Chhatrapati Durg’
Pune, 27th March 2023: Aurangabad and Osmanabad cities have been renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Dharashiv by the state government. On the same land, the name of Janjira Fort is derived from the Arabic language dictionary.
A demand has been made on behalf of Shivdheya Foundation to change the name of this fort to ‘Chhatrapati Durg’. Also, Yogesh Khengre of the foundation informed in the press conference that a report has been given to the state government for the construction of the Shivshambhu memorial at the said fort.
