Pune – Chinchwad MLA Ashwini Jagtap Challenges BJP General Secretary in Fiery Outburst
Chinchwad, 10th October 2023 – In an unexpected turn of events, Ashwini Laxman Jagtap, the MLA representing Chinchwad, unleashed a fiery verbal onslaught against BJP General Secretary Namdev Dhake, openly challenging him in front of onlookers to cease his alleged acts of betrayal. The dramatic confrontation left everyone in attendance stunned.
The incident unfolded during a press conference held by the city BJP to announce the upcoming visit of State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule to Pimpri-Chinchwad on October 11, in conjunction with the Maval Lok Sabha travel tour and the Ghar Chalo campaign.
MLA Ashwini Jagtap arrived punctually for the press conference, but City President Shankar Jagtap was noticeably late. There have been persistent rumours of an underlying political conflict between the MLA and the city president.
After the press conference concluded, City President Shankar Jagtap left early. However, it was a post-press conference that things took a dramatic turn. MLA Ashwini Jagtap’s demeanour suddenly shifted, as she declared, “I am Ashwini Laxman Jagtap. Don’t underestimate me, don’t disregard me. I’ve been overlooked one too many times.”
In a direct challenge to BJP General Secretary Namdev Dhake, she demanded that he stop his alleged backstabbing and instead confront her openly. The boldness of her remarks caught many by surprise.
When questioned about the incident, MLA Jagtap defended her actions by citing a lack of decorum and respect, stating, “I spoke out because proper etiquette was not being observed.” Dhake Said, ” MLA said that since I was sitting behind, sit forward, you are the general secretary of the party.”
