Pune: Chandrakant Patil Apologises For His Statements And Requests To Stop Controversy
Pune, 12th December 2022: Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil apologized for his offensive remarks on Indian Leaders stating that he has a deep respect for their work and had no intentions to disrespect anyone.
While clarifying his point, Patil said, “I had no intention of offending anyone in speaking of them in a dialectical manner, and I have apologized for the mistake. But the events that happened from this have become painful to witness.”
“Once again, I sincerely apologize if I have hurt anyone’s feelings in this matter. I have no complaints about anyone. Also, those who have been arrested under the law should be freed and the police officers and policemen who have been suspended should be called back. Also, if any action has been taken against the journalists, it is suggested to withdraw it,” he said further.
“I have nothing to say about those who threw ink on my face. In my view, I am putting an end to this debate”, he added.
Patil had made a statement that Mahatma Phule and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar started schools by begging. To protest his statement, ink was thrown on his face in the Chinchwad area by members of an organisation.
Patil took the stand to file a case against the journalist for shooting the video of the said incident. Anger is being expressed on Patil because of his remarks.
