Prakash Ambedkar Demands Disclosure of Phone Discussion Between Sharad Pawar and BJP
Mumbai, 8th May 2024: After the completion of three phases of the Lok Sabha elections, campaigning has commenced for the fourth and fifth phases. During this period, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) President Adv Prakash Ambedkar levelled serious accusations against Sharad Pawar in a press conference. Adv Ambedkar alleged that Sharad Pawar and India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, had a phone discussion four days ago, and he demanded that Sharad Pawar disclose the details of their conversation. His statement has caused a significant uproar in the state of Maharashtra.
Adv. Prakash Ambedkar stated, “The reason behind Sharad Pawar’s call to Rajnath Singh four days ago must be disclosed. Was the discussion about the allocation of five seats for the NCP? Were matters concerning CM Shinde’s fight for three seats in Mumbai or issues related to Uddhav Thackeray discussed? Sharad Pawar should clarify this.”
Ambedkar reiterated the demand he had previously made during discussions on seat sharing in the alliance for the Lok Sabha elections. On this occasion, he recalled his statement that he would not align with the BJP for the next five years until the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha were dissolved.
“Sharad Pawar should disclose the details of the phone conversation between him and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. We delayed sharing this information to avoid affecting the Baramati ground. However, we now expect clarification regarding the discussion between these two leaders,” stated Adv. Prakash Ambedkar, the head of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi.
Following Prakash Ambedkar’s statement, discussions have begun in political circles. Questions are arising about why Sharad Pawar contacted Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. It will be crucial to see NCP President Sharad Chandra Pawar’s response to this inquiry and the demand made by Prakash Ambedkar.
