NCP Conducts Purification Of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Statue With Milk After CM Shinde Inaugurated It At Aurangabad

Aurangabad, 17th September 2022: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Aurangabad. In protest, the leaders associated with the youth wing of the NCP cleaned the statue and bathed it with milk. The leaders alleged that the statue was unveiled by the anti-national chief minister. That’s why they did it.

The whole matter is related to not inviting opposition leaders and student organizations to the event. It is alleged that only people associated with the ruling party were invited, whereas even the top leaders of the opposition were not invited even when the unveiling of the statue is a much-awaited project.

Union Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad, Rohyo Minister Sandipan Bhumre, Minister Abdul Sattar, Uday Samant, Atul Save are on the invitation but the other hand, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Ambadas Danve’s name was not there.

The statue has been installed on the Dr Balasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University campus. The statue depicts Chhatrapati Shivaji riding a horse.

CM Shinde unveiled the statue on 16 September. The next day, leaders associated with the youth wing of NCP came to the college and started washing the statue with water.
