MHADA extends application deadline for lottery of 4640 flats and 14 plots

Mumbai, 4th April 2023: Konkan Housing and Regional Development Board of MHADA has extended the deadline for applications for online lottery for the sale of 4640 flats and 14 plots under various housing schemes in Thane City-District, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg until April 19, 2023.

According to Chief Officer Maroti More, the deadline for the payment of the deposit amount through online and RTGS / NEFT has also been extended until 21st April, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

More announced that some important changes have been made in the application submission process in the new computerized system, IHLMS 2.0 (Integrated Housing Lottery Management System), to facilitate more applicants to apply. As per this new change, it is no longer mandatory for the applicant to have a PMAY registration certificate to apply under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme in Lotti. This certificate must be obtained before taking possession of the flat. In this draw, 984 flats are available for sale under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme.

Applicants are required to upload their Income Tax Return certificate in the system to show their income. After uploading the certificate, the system checks the Acknowledgment Number, Total Income, Assessment Year and Name by Optical Character Recognition. Due to the uploading of unclear or incorrect income tax return certificates by the applicants, there were difficulties in determining the applicant’s income. To address this, when the applicant uploads the income tax return certificate in the system, the information about the applicant’s total income, assessment year, and name will be shown in a pop-up. If this information is correct, the consent will be taken from the applicant in the check box. However, if this information does not match with the information in the Income Tax Return Certificate uploaded in the system, the applicant is now also given the facility to amend/change this information in the system. Without checking this check box, the applicant will not be able to proceed with the application process.

To address the difficulties faced by women applicants while registering in this system due to a change of name or surname after marriage or any other reason, a new option is now given to the applicant on the application registration system page. According to this option, if the applicant is identified by another name, it will be accepted or rejected. If the applicant writes yes, the applicant should mention his/her other name. Due to this facility, applicants who have changed their name and surname after marriage will be able to register.

If the successful winners of the scheme ‘First Come First Preference’ reject the flat before issuing the first Provisional Offer Letter by the Board, it has been decided to refund the deposit amount of the winners who return the flat. However, if the successful applicant rejects the flat after receiving the first notice letter, the deposit will be returned to the applicant after deducting one percent of the total selling price of the flat.

The online computerized lottery for the sale of flats and plots by the Board will take place on May 10, 2023, at 10.00 AM in Thane, at the Kashinath Ghanekar Theatre.

So far, 22,380 applicants have applied for the draw, out of which 12,360 applicants have paid the required deposit along with the application. The final list of eligible applications for the draw will be published on the MHADA official website https://housing.mhada.gov.in on May 4, 2023, at 6.00 PM. On May 10, 2023, at 10 am, the computerized draw of the eligible application will be announced, and the applicants will receive the result of the lottery.

984 flats are reserved for the low-income group under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme, while 1,456 flats will be sold under the 20 percent inclusive scheme. In addition, there are 152 flats and 14 plots available for sale under the MHADA housing scheme. A total of 2,048 flats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
