Maharashtra: Violent Clash Erupts Between Two Groups in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Fadnavis Urges Citizens to Maintain Peace
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 30th March 2023: A violent clash erupted between two groups in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (earlier called Aurangabad) today around 1 am, resulting in the burning of several private cars and police vehicles. Stone-pelting was also reported in certain areas.
In response to the incident, Maharashtra State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis issued a statement from Nagpur, urging citizens to maintain peace and refrain from making inflammatory speeches.
Fadnavis expressed regret at the unfortunate incident and warned against politicizing it. He called on everyone to celebrate Ram Navami peacefully and avoid any behavior that could lead to tension or a breach of peace.
A brawl broke out between two groups near Ram Mandir in Kiradpura around 1 am, resulting in the violence. Police immediately intervened to control the situation.
