Legal Action on the Horizon: Minister Vikhe Patil Criticizes Rohit Pawar’s Allegations

Ahmednagar, 28th February 2024: On Wednesday, Ahmednagar Guardian Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe reiterated the intention to register a case against Rohit Pawar, the MLA of the Nationalist Sharad Chandra Pawar Party in Karjat-Jamkhed. The allegations pertain to malpractice in the recruitment of Talathis. Minister Vikhe Patil clarified that the process of filing a case is in progress within the Revenue Department, emphasizing that making baseless allegations without providing evidence does not exempt anyone from legal action. He further emphasized that being someone’s grandson does not grant a license to make unfounded statements. While not explicitly naming Sharad Pawar, Vikhe Patil suggested that the grandson seems to be continuing the tradition of the grandfather.

Minister Vikhe Patil addressed the media following the inauguration of the Mahanamo Rojgar Mela in Ahmednagar, taking the opportunity to criticize Rohit Pawar for his statements on Talathi recruitment. Vikhe highlighted that despite the absence of any public evidence supporting the claims, Rohit Pawar had made absurd statements. He questioned whether one has the license to carry on their grandfather’s tradition and emphasized the importance of speaking responsibly. Consequently, the decision has been made to take legal action and file a case against MLA Rohit Pawar.

Vikhe Patil commented on Manoj Jarange Patil, the leader involved in the Maratha reservation issue, stating that the lathi charge incident in Antarwali Sarati is rightfully being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Vikhe Patil questioned whose interests Jarange Patil is serving and on whose instructions he is acting. Referring to the orchestrated response following stone-pelting, with the prompt arrival of leaders like ‘Jante Raje’ and Uddhav Thackeray, Vikhe Patil implied that there was a pre-planned strategy.

Emphasizing the need for an SIT inquiry, Vikhe Patil expressed confidence that it would reveal the truth behind Jarange’s actions. He mentioned that the mobile records and reasons behind the stone-pelting would become evident, shedding light on who orchestrated the events. Vikhe Patil concluded by suggesting that there should be no cause for panic if one has not done anything wrong, posing a rhetorical question in this regard.

Minister Vikhe Patil addressed the statements made by Manoj Jarange Patil, emphasizing that despite the respect given to him by the Maratha community, Jarange Patil’s role and statements should not be considered representative of the entire Maratha community. Vikhe Patil asserted that the Maratha society should disassociate from such sentiments and avoid playing with emotions.

Criticizing Jarange Patil’s remarks about Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as violating the code of conduct, Vikhe Patil stated, “You are not the society,” highlighting that Jarange Patil’s role is not widely accepted within the community. Vikhe Patil stressed that the Maratha society is not naive and has come to understand Jarange Patil’s true intentions. He further mentioned that society is becoming more aware and will not fall victim to individuals exploiting its sentiments for personal gain.
