Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Hospitals Will Be Inaugurated By Chief Minister
Mumbai, 16th November 2022: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, which provides various civic services and facilities to the citizens of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation area, takes care of the health of Mumbaikars. To take this care more efficiently and provide more options to the citizens, the inauguration of the Hindu Hrudayasmrat Balasaheb Thackeray Clinics, which is being implemented by the Public Health Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. It will be held by Eknath Shinde on Thursday, November 17 2022, at 4 pm in the Dharavi area.
Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Health Minister of Maharashtra Tanaji Sawant, Minister of School Education and Guardian Minister of Mumbai City District Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of State for Tourism and Women and Child Development and Mumbai Suburbs. District Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, local MP Rahul Shewale, local MLA Smt Varsha Gaikwad, MLA Sunil Shinde and Rajhans Singh and Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Commissioner (Public Health) Sanjay Ku-Hade and dignitaries will have a special presence.
During the ceremony to be held near entrance number 2 of the ONGC building near the Shiv-Bandra link road in the Dharavi area, 51 clinics will be inaugurated using the audio-visual system. In the next six months, this number will be increased to 220 clinics. Interestingly, these clinics will be operated in porta cabins in the available space. Some clinics will be started on the premises of existing clinics. These clinics will also provide free medical check-ups, medication, bandages for minor injuries and 147 types of blood tests. Apart from this, tests like X-Ray, Sonography will be done from the medical testing centres on the panel. Interestingly, even though these tests will be conducted from a private centre, they will be charged according to the rates of the municipal hospitals, informed the Executive Health Officer of the Public Health Department of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation given by Mangala Gomare.
Giving more information about this, Dr Gomare said that comprehensive primary health services are being made available to the citizens at their convenience under the Hindu Hrudayamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Primary Health Services Empowerment Scheme by the Department of Public Health. For this purpose, Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray clinics are being established in the second semester and open spaces in the available clinics. According to this, in the first phase, 51 clinics are being started from November 17, 2022. Generally, in the next six months, step-wise action will be taken in a well-planned manner to start the Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Clinics at 149 places including 20 polyclinics and diagnostic centres. According to this, health and medical facilities will be made available to Mumbaikars at 220 places under the Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Primary Health Services Empowerment scheme.
Hindu Hrudayasmrat Balasaheb Thackeray Primary Health Care Empowerment Scheme will provide citizens with easy access to comprehensive primary health care free of cost and at a convenient time. It will help to reduce the out-of-pocket expenditure of citizens on drug treatment. Under this scheme, generally one clinic for 25 to 30 thousand population, similarly the clinics in Porta Cabin will be functioning from 7 am to 2 pm and then from 3 pm to 10 pm. Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Clinics, which have been started in the available clinics are being started from 9 am to 4 pm and 3 pm to 10 pm. For this, 1 Medical Officer (MBBS), 1 Nurse, 1 Drug Maker and 1 Multi-Purpose Worker have been appointed on a contract basis in each Hindu Hrudayasmrat Balasaheb Thackeray Hospital.
Also, by upgrading the available clinics, specialist services are being provided through polyclinics and diagnostic centres in the available clinics. By upgrading available clinics (ear, nose, throat specialist, ophthalmologist, gynaecologist, medical examiner, physiotherapist, dermatologist, dentist, paediatrician, etc.) services of specialists are available in the clinic through the polyclinic and diagnostic centre from 9 am to noon. 4 will be given within this time.
Information about patients, details of illness, stock and distribution of medicines, and referred diagnostic facilities will be recorded from the said clinics through tab method and software so that the operations of Hindu Hrudayasmrat Balasaheb Thackeray Hospital will be paperless, and therefore these clinics will also be eco-friendly. It has also been informed by the Public Health Department.
