Dates Announced: Lok Sabha Elections To Be Held In Seven Phases Starting From 19th April, Result On 4th June

New Delhi, 16th March 2024: The elections for the 18th Lok Sabha will be conducted in seven phases starting from 19th April till 1st June for the 543 seats. The vote counting will take place on 4th June, as informed by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar during a press conference today.

The first phase of the election will be held on 19th April, followed by the second phase on 26th April, the third phase on 7th May, the fourth phase on 13th May, the fifth phase on 20th May, the sixth phase on 25th May, and the seventh phase on 1st June.

By-Election: There will be by-polls in 26 assemblies across several states including Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Tripura, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. A total of 26 vacancies will be filled through these by-polls, which will be conducted concurrently with the parliamentary elections.
