Congress Vote Share Increasing, BJP’s Declining: C-Voter Mood of the Nation Survey

New Delhi, 18th February 2023: The C-Voter and Aaj Tak’s Mood of the Nation survey conducted recently predicts a clear majority for the BJP-led NDA if elections were held in January 2023. As per the survey, BJP is expected to win 298 seats, Congress-led UPA is predicted to win 153 seats, and other parties are expected to win 92 seats.

The survey indicates that there is a decrease in the popularity of the BJP as compared to the last survey in August 2022, where it was predicted to get 307 seats. However, BJP still seems to be the popular choice for the majority of voters.

The survey shows an increase in the vote percentage of Congress+ from 27% in January last year to 29% in January 2023. The vote share of BJP has also increased by 2%. BJP’s vote share was 41% in the two surveys conducted last year and is predicted to be 43% in the current survey. Other parties are estimated to get 28% of votes in the January 2023 survey as compared to 31% in August 2022. This shows that other parties are facing a loss in their vote percentage.

The graph of BJP’s seats shows a fluctuation from January 2022 to January 2023. In the January 2022 survey, BJP was expected to win 296 seats, which increased to 307 seats in the August 2022 survey. However, in the current survey, BJP is expected to win 298 seats. Congress seats, on the other hand, are expected to increase from 125 in August 2022 to 153 in the January 2023 survey.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections have both BJP-led NDA and Congress-led UPA actively preparing for it. The survey results predict that BJP is still the favored party for the majority of voters, and Congress+ is gaining popularity. BJP needs to work on retaining its voter base and building its image to maintain its lead. Congress needs to continue its efforts to gain more support to increase its chances of winning the elections.

It should be noted that surveys and opinion polls are not always accurate and should be taken with a pinch of salt. The actual results may vary from the survey predictions, as many factors can influence the outcome of the elections. However, surveys provide a good indication of the political scenario and the mood of the nation.

In conclusion, the C-Voter and Aaj Tak’s Mood of the Nation survey indicates that BJP is still the preferred party for the majority of voters, but Congress+ is gaining popularity. The upcoming Lok Sabha elections are expected to be closely contested, and both parties need to work on their strategies to increase their chances of winning.
