Centre Ready for Parliament Debate on NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak, Says Kiren Rijiju
New Delhi, 22nd July 2026: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said the Centre is ready to hold a detailed discussion in Parliament on the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, reiterating that the interests of students remain the government’s top priority.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Rijiju said the government is prepared to answer all questions related to the examination controversy and urged for a disc ussion on the issue in Parliament. He said the Centre has consistently expressed its willingness to debate the matter.
The minister said the government acted promptly after allegations of a paper leak surfaced, with investigations initiated and action taken against those found to be involved. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured students that the integrity of competitive examinations will be protected and that strict action will be taken against those responsible.
His remarks come as Parliament continues to witness demands from Opposition parties for a discussion on the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination. Several Opposition leaders have also sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the issue.
The alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak has sparked protests in several parts of the country, with students raising concerns over the fairness and credibility of the examination process. The Centre has maintained that investigations are underway and has reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency and safeguarding students’ interests.
