BJP Divided Shiv Sena Into Two Parts: Sushil Kumar Modi
Mumbai, 11th August 2022: After the change of power in Bihar, Rajya Sabha MP Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has been very vocal against his old colleague. He has made many allegations against Nitish Kumar. However, one of his statements about politics in Maharashtra has also resurfaced.
The BJP leader admitted that his party divided the Shiv Sena into two parts. Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction and the Nationalist Congress Party say that it has now been proven that the BJP was behind Shinde’s rebellion, which brought down the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government.
Talking about JDU leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Sushil Modi said that the JDU will have to face the consequences of betraying the BJP. He said, “BJP has never stabbed any of its allies. We have only broken those who have betrayed us, like Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. When they betrayed us, they had to face the consequences.”
The Uddhav Thackeray faction has taken a jibe at Sushil Modi’s remark. They say that BJP’s ‘lies’ have been ‘exposed’. Shiv Sena leader Ambadas Danve alleged, “It was not a rebellion as claimed by the rebel MLAs. We have said that it was a plan made by the BJP. It is the BJP’s policy of forming an alliance and then destroying the parties. BJP’s lies have been exposed by what the senior BJP leader Sushil Modi has said.”
Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar said the BJP has a policy of eliminating regional allies in the states. He said, “BJP wants to be the only party in the country. Akali Dal was a big party in Punjab, which is now on the verge of extinction. In Maharashtra, BJP and Shiv Sena were together for many years. The BJP split with the help of Eknath Shinde to weaken its old ally. Nitish Kumar has raised the same issue in Bihar also.” “The Maharashtra unit of the BJP, however, claimed that the party has always stood by its allies,” he added.
Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “BJP has never stabbed a friend in the back, Shiv Sena has betrayed us.”
