Former Cricketer Ambati Rayudu Announces Departure from YSR Congress Party
Amravati, 6th January 2024: In a surprising twist, former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu took to social media to announce his decision to part ways with the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress Party, just ten days after joining the political entity. Rayudu’s foray into politics had been a notable event, marked by a welcoming ceremony attended by prominent political figures.
Rayudu shared his decision on X (formerly Twitter), hinting at a temporary withdrawal from politics. In his statement, he expressed gratitude for the support and informed the public about his decision to quit the YSRCP Party. The announcement leaves open the possibility of further actions, which Rayudu intends to convey at a later time.
The former cricketer’s induction into the YSR Congress Party occurred on December 28, with a closed ceremony at the CM Camp office. Notable political figures, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy CM Narayana Swamy, and MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, were present at the welcoming ceremony. The party had shared visuals of Rayudu’s induction on their X social media account.
This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time.
Thank You.

During this time, he had conveyed his desire to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh through political engagement. Rayudu had emphasized the importance of understanding the people’s pulse and their problems before formulating a concrete action plan for his political journey.
