Bihar Court Refuses Bail To Kartik Kumar In Kidnapping Case
Danapur, 1st September 2022: Patna’s Danapur court has refused to grant bail to former Bihar minister Kartik Kumar alias Kartikeya Kumar Singh in the kidnapping case registered against him. The ADJ court rejected the bail application citing the order of the High Court.
Due to controversies, in this case, Kartikeya Kumar resigned from the Nitish cabinet on Wednesday. Before his resignation, CM Nitish Kumar had also changed his department. He was shifted from Law Minister to Sugarcane Industries Minister.
The hearing of Karthik Kumar was held on Thursday in the court of ADJ 3 Satyanarayan Shivhare.
Karthik Kumar’s lawyer Janardhan Rai, who came from the civil court, argued that he was not present at the scene of the abduction. The location of his mobile tower was also away from the spot.
On Thursday morning, On Karthik Kumar dismissed the allegations against him. He told the media that the investigating officer had proved his innocence in the kidnapping case. When he took cognizance of this matter during the Corona period, his name also cropped up again. He has full faith in the court.
Raju Singh alias Raju Builder was kidnapped in 2014 in the Bihta area of Patna district. Karthik Kumar was made an accused. A case was registered against him at Bihta police station, in which former MLA Bahubali leader Anant Singh is also a co-accused.
Recently, there were allegations on Karthik Singh that he had to surrender in the court in this case, but on the same day, he was going to the Raj Bhavan to take oath as a minister.
