Shashi Tharoor Is Set To Contest Election Of Congress President!
Thiruvananthapuram, 31st August 2022: Kerala Congress President K. Sudhakaran said that Shashi Tharoor is a qualified leader and he can contest for the election of Congress President as Congress is a democratic party and everyone has a right here.
There is speculation about senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor contesting for the post of party president. Differences can be seen in the Congress due to the claim of Shashi Tharoor, who was a part of G-23.
Meanwhile, Kerala Congress President K.Sudhakaran said that Shashi Tharoor is a qualified leader and he can contest for the election of Congress President as Congress is a democratic party. Sudhakaran said that if Shashi Tharoor wants to contest elections, then there is no point in accusing him. Congress is a democratic party and its leaders have the right to contest for the highest office of the party.
Congress will have Punjab like conditions in Haryana.
Sudhakaran said, ‘’What is surprising about this? Is he not a deserving candidate?All members of Congress have the freedom and right to contest elections as it is a democratic party. If he wants to fight, he can do so. The party will accept his decision. If I get votes, then I will win.’’
He said that Congress has the power to resolve all issues through democratic means. Shashi Tharoor has indicated that he will contest the elections. When asked about this on Tuesday, he had said that once the notification for the election is issued he will then decide about his candidature.
