13th Instalment Of PM Kisan Yojana To Be Released Today By PM Modi
New Delhi, 27th February 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deposit Rs 16,800 crore in the bank accounts of more than eight crore farmers across the country today under the PM-Kisan Fund. PM Modi will release the 13th instalment of the PM-Kisan Fund at a function organized in Belagavi, Karnataka. This will facilitate the farmers to make arrangements for the upcoming crop.
Before the commencement of cultivation of each season, the government deposits an instalment of two thousand rupees in the bank account of every farmer. With this, farmers get direct help of Rs 6000 every year. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar will be prominently present at the function.
The Ministry of Agriculture claims that around one lakh people, including beneficiaries of PM-Kisan and Jal Jeevan Mission, are expected to attend the event. This ceremony will also be telecast and shown in all KVKs of the country.
Under PM-Kisan Nidhi Yojana, Rs 6000 is released directly into the bank accounts of each eligible landholder farmer in three equal instalments of Rs 2000 each. This scheme was launched on 24th February 2019. Under this scheme, an amount of more than Rs 2.2 lakh has been given to more than 11 crore landholding farmer families across the country so far.
The 11th and 12th instalments of PM-Kisan were released in May and October last year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, PM Kisan Yojana has already provided significant benefits to farmers across the country. This latest instalment will further enhance their income and contribute to the development of the agriculture sector.
All the landholders are farmer families eligible for PM Kisan Yojana. More than three crore women beneficiaries have also got the benefit from this scheme. An amount of more than Rs 53,600 crore has been given to them in the last four years.
