Rahul Gandhi Will Not Be Able To Attend Winter Session Of Parliament; Will Continue Bharat Jodi Yatra
New Delhi, 12th November 2022: Today (November 12), Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh informed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will not be present in the winter session of Parliament, which begins in the first week of December.
He said that party leader Rahul Gandhi would not be able to attend the winter session of Parliament due to his busy schedule for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Jairam Ramesh said Congress MPs would not skip the Bharat Jodo Yatra to attend the winter session of Parliament.
According to reports, the winter session of Parliament is likely to start in the old building in the first week of December and continue till the end of the month.
It is proposed to hold the session from December 7 to 29 and the final decision regarding the dates will be taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs
When asked about the Congress party’s stand on caste census and reservation, Jairam Ramesh said, “The Congress party has consistently maintained the same position on this issue since 2014. Congress supports reservation in education and employment for economically weaker sections in all communities without disturbing the existing reservation for SC/ST/OBC.”
