Uddhav Thackeray Faction Suggests Three Names And Symbols For Party
Mumbai, 10th October 2022: The Central Election Commission, on Saturday, took a temporary decision to freeze the name ‘Shiv Sena’ along with the symbol ‘Dhanushyaban’.
Sources have informed that this decision will be applicable for the Andheri-East assembly by-election to be held on 3rd November. After that, three symbols and three names have been proposed by the Shiv Sena to the Election Commission, according to Shiv Sena party chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the Shiv Sainiks of the state. Speaking on this occasion, he said, “The alternative of the trident, torch and rising sun symbol has been sent to the Election Commission. Along with this, three names like ‘Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray’, ‘Shiv Sena Prabodhankar Thackeray’ and ‘Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’ have also been suggested to the Election Commission.”
“The Election Commission should remain impartial. Names and symbols have been submitted by Shiv Sena on Saturday. Andheri by-elections have started, and it is the last day to fill out the application form in four days. So give us an icon and a name as soon as possible,” Thackeray further said. The Election Commission has told the public about the three symbols and three names given by the Thackeray faction. However, they did not give information about what the Shinde group presented.
