Third Front in Maharashtra Elections: Parivartan Mahashakti Aghadi Alliance Meets in Pune to Discuss Candidates for 150 Seats
Pune, 17th October 2024: An important meeting of the Parivartan Mahashakti Aghadi Alliance was held in Pune today, attended by Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, Omprakash Babarao Kadu (Bacchu Kadu), and Raju Shetty. During this meeting, a decision was made regarding 150 seats, with further decisions on additional seats expected soon. Leaders of Parivartan Mahashakti Aghadi indicated that many individuals are interested in joining their cause. It was announced that candidates would be fielded against either the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, or Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Meanwhile, the leaders revealed that they are also in discussions with Maratha Reservation Leader Manoj Jarange Patil, attempting to secure his support. They expressed optimism that Mahadev Jankar would also join their ranks. Bachu Kadu stated their commitment to establishing a government that resonates with the common man, emphasizing that they would provide good candidates. He questioned the opposition leaders, asking what kind of change they intend to bring, given their lengthy tenure in power. Kadu argued that neither the Mahayuti nor the Mahavikas Aghadi represent true change, asserting that they have the right to speak the language of transformation.
Kadu emphasized that the new transformation would genuinely benefit the common man, particularly in terms of budget allocation. Raju Shetty stated that they would nominate candidates with clean character for this election and mentioned that they represent 30 to 40 small and large organizations. Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati confirmed that they would field candidates to challenge established politicians. He has spoken with Manoj Jarange Patil, but a decision has yet to be reached. Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati reiterated their position that they hope Patil will join them.
With the implementation of the code of conduct in the state three days ago, political developments have gained significant momentum.
