Serious Allegations by Sanjay Raut: Claims 30-35% of EVMs Hacked, Accuses BJP of Manipulating Elections Post Ram Mandir Celebrations
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 7th January 2024: In a bold statement, Sanjay Raut, a prominent member of the Thackeray group, has accused the BJP of planning to leverage the Ram Mandir celebrations as a campaign platform for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Raut alleges a deliberate focus on Prime Minister Modi during the ceremony, emphasizing the significance of the event for political gains.
Sanjay Raut raised serious concerns regarding the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), asserting that 30-35% of constituencies in both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha have been hacked. He claimed that the BJP’s success relies on two pillars, namely “Rama’s Support” and the assistance of the EVMs, rather than genuine development. Raut alleged that independent auditing of the EVM source code would expose fraudulent practices.
Quotes from Sanjay Raut:
– “BJP’s wave of success is standing on two pillars namely Rama’s Aadhaar and the help of ‘EVM’. There is nothing in the name of development.”
– “EVMs in 30 to 35 per cent constituencies of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha are hacked.”
– “If they are so sure of winning and of Modi’s miracle, divine power, elections should be held on the ballot paper. BJP will never take it.”
Sanjay Raut questioned the insistence on using EVMs in India, citing the elimination of the EVM system in other democratic countries. He highlighted the dangers of conducting elections on EVMs and suggested that the BJP’s continuous electoral victories were facilitated by manipulating these machines.
Raut advocated for a return to paper ballot elections, asserting that as long as EVMs exist, the BJP remains a dominant force. He questioned why those considered the thirteenth incarnation of Vishnu (referring to Prime Minister Modi) would be afraid of using the traditional ‘ballot paper’ system.
Sanjay Raut’s accusations add a new layer of controversy to the political landscape, linking the Ram Mandir celebrations to potential electoral manoeuvring.
