Release of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ Delayed Due to National Commitments

Mumbai, 16th May 2024: The release of Kangana Ranaut’s film “Emergency” has once again been postponed. On Wednesday, Manikarnika Films, the production banner, shared a statement on their social media platforms, citing Kangana’s dedication to her national duties and commitment to serving the country as the reason for the delay.

The official statement expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received for Kangana and announced that the release date for “Emergency” would be rescheduled soon, promising to keep the audience updated.

Initially scheduled for release on June 14, Kangana had announced the film’s release date after attending the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya earlier this year. “Emergency,” directed and written by Kangana herself, was previously slated for theatrical release on November 24, 2023, but was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik, the film delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana portraying the titular role.

Amidst these developments, Kangana is actively engaged in her campaigning activities for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. She recently filed her nomination for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh, expressing her pride and optimism about venturing into politics alongside her successful career in Bollywood.
