Pune: Minister Uday Samant Expresses Concerns Over Mahavikas Aghadi’s Unity Claiming Contradictory Statements By Uddhav Thackeray And Ajit Pawar
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 22nd June 2023: Minister Uday Samant has raised doubts about the unity of Mahavikas Aghadi, questioning the strength of their alliance.
Speaking at a press conference in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Samant pointed out disparities in the statements made by leaders of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’s party and Ajit Pawar. He emphasized the significant differences between the two statements.
When asked about Ajit Pawar’s association with his party, Samant responded, “Eknath Shinde decides the inclusion and exclusion of individuals in the party as he is the main leader of Shiv Sena.”
He further shed light on the internal dynamics of Mahavikas Aghadi, stating, “Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ineffective and should go to Manipur, while Ajit Pawar, in a press conference, acknowledges Modi’s capabilities, comparing him to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. This stark contrast reveals the strength of the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance.”
In the presence of Samant, a meeting was convened today at Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to discuss the decontamination of Indrayani and Pavana rivers. He was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the meeting.
