The visit aligns with his focus on infrastructure growth, sustainable development, and the celebration of cultural and historical legacies.
Maharashtra Schedule
Modi’s day will commence in Nagpur around 9 AM with a visit to Smruti Mandir, coinciding with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Pratipada program marking the Hindu New Year, as per an official press release. He will pay tribute to RSS founders before heading to Deekshabhoomi, where he will honor B.R. Ambedkar at the historic site where Ambedkar and thousands of his followers embraced Buddhism in 1956.
Around 10 AM, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an expansion of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre in Nagpur. This new 250-bed facility, named in memory of RSS leader Madhavrao Sadashivrao Golwalkar, will house 14 outpatient departments (OPDs) and 14 modular operation theatres, aimed at delivering high-quality yet affordable eye care services.
By 12:30 PM, he will inaugurate a Loitering Munition Testing Range and a 1,250-meter-long, 25-meter-wide runway for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited in Nagpur. This advanced facility will bolster India’s defense capabilities by providing essential infrastructure for guided munition testing.
