PM Narendra Modi To Go On Two-Day Visit To Southern States

Delhi, 11th November 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has planned a tour of South Indian states between Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. Under this, he will leave on a two-day visit on Friday and will reach Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Reportedly, the PM will give projects worth Rs 25 thousand crores to these four states. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been trying for a long time for political expansion in South India.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the PM will inaugurate Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, which has been built at a cost of around Rs 5000 crore. This terminal will double the passenger capacity of this airport from the current capacity of about 25 million to 5-6 million passengers per annum.

According to a statement issued by the PMO, the Prime Minister will also flag off the Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharata Express at Krantiveer Sangoli Rayanna (KSR) railway station in Bengaluru and Bharat Gaurav Kashi Yatra train from KSR railway station. Also, PM Modi will unveil a 108-meter-high bronze statue of Shri Nadaprabhu Kempegowda made of 98 tonnes of bronze and 120 tonnes of steel in Bengaluru.

The PMO said he will lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 10,500 crore and dedicate it to the nation. He will lay the foundation stone for the Andhra Pradesh section of the 6-lane greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor. It will be built at a cost of over Rs 3750 crore. He will dedicate to ONGC’s U-field onshore deep water block project, which has been developed at a cost of over Rs 2,900 crore. This is the deepest gas discovery of the project with a gas generation capacity of about 3 Million Metric Standard Cubic Meters Per Day (MMSCMD).

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, during this time the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Visakhapatnam railway station to be built at a cost of about Rs 450 crore will be laid. Along with this, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for the modernization and upgradation of Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour. The total cost of this project is around Rs 150 crore.

According to the PMO, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several projects worth over Rs 9500 crore in Ramagundam. He will dedicate the fertilizer plant at Ramagundam to the nation. The foundation stone of the Ramagundam project was also laid by the Prime Minister on 7 August 2016. Apart from this, the PM will dedicate the Bhadrachalam Road-Sattupally rail line, which has been built at a cost of about Rs 1000 crore. Along with this, he will also lay the foundation stone of various road projects worth more than Rs 2200 crore.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that PM Modi will address the 36th convocation of Gandhigram Rural Sansthan. More than 2300 students of the 2018-19 and 2019-20 batches will receive degrees in the convocation.
