PM Modi Will Attend G-20 Summit On Monday And Hold Talks With Many Leaders
Delhi, 13th November 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bali, Indonesia, on Monday. During this, he will attend the 17th G-20 summit, the Ministry of External Affairs stated. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra informed that at the Bali summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other G-20 leaders, will discuss key issues of contemporary relevance, including the global economy, energy, environment, agriculture, health and digital transformation.
The Foreign Secretary informed that PM Modi will attend three working sessions at the Bali Summit. During the summit, PM Modi will hold several bilateral meetings with G-20 leaders. He said that India, Indonesia and Brazil would be a triumvirate during India’s G-20 chairmanship. This is the first time in the G20 that this trio will include developing countries and emerging economies.
The Foreign Secretary said that the Prime Minister will address and interact with members of the Indian community on November 15 during his visit to Indonesia.
India will take over the chairmanship of the powerful grouping from the current chair, Indonesia, on December 1. The G-20 group is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing economies. This group includes India, Indonesia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the European Union (EU).
