Odisha: Odisha Will Get 5G Services Starting On January 26: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Bhubaneshwar, 31st December 2022: During the event of laying the foundation stone for the renovation of the Bhubaneswar Railway station on Thursday (December 29), Union Telecom and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw declared that Odisha would have 5G telecom services by January 26.
Vaishnaw said, “I told you that the first wave of 5G services would be available in Odisha. Before January 26th, the 5G services will become live.”
He emphasised, “It had been claimed that the telecom sector was not giving Odisha enough attention. There was not enough money for Odisha. However, PM Modi has handed Odisha Rs 5,600 crore for the industry. The obligation to bring 4G services to villages in Odisha has been assumed by Modiji. Nobody can claim that Odisha is being overlooked in the telecom industry.”
