Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray Claps At PM Modi And BJP
Mumbai, 19th February 2023: The Election Commission has decided to give Shiv Sena’s name and bow and arrow symbol to Eknath Shinde’s faction. After this, Uddhav Thackeray and his leaders are making strong accusations against BJP and Eknath Shinde in the state. Due to this, the political atmosphere has become more heated. It is against this backdrop that Uddhav Thackeray, while speaking at a meeting, strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
Uddhav Thackeray said, “I did not go with Congress; BJP pushed me. I want to say this again so that you don’t have any misunderstanding. I did not break the alliance in 2014; BJP broke the alliance. Wasn’t I still a Hindu then? I am still a Hindu today. At that time, you broke the alliance. Later, when you understand, if need be, Shiv Sena will come along. At that time, he broke the alliance a day before filing the nomination papers. The big problem was, where was I going to get candidates for 28 seats? Still, we fought alone and we got 63 seats. The BJP thought that it would hold power on its own. It couldn’t handle it and had to take our help. After that, Amit Shah had come home and at the Dussehra gathering at Shivaji Park, I swore to my mother and father that it was true that they had promised me. I promised my father that one day I will make your Shiv Sainik the Chief Minister. That is my promise to this day. At that time, Amit Shah had said that it was fine. But that’s okay, you see what happened afterwards.”
He added, “Today, some of our people have tied a belt around their necks. My father never taught me to be a slave to anyone. My father taught me to fight against injustice. I am a warrior son of a warrior father. I will never lie. Lying is not in my blood. If I do so, I will leave. At that time, there was an alliance. Our poster had Modi’s face and Balasaheb Thackeray’s face. Yesterday I said that there was a time when Modi used to wear Modi’s mask in his meetings, but now days have changed, now Modi has to come to Maharashtra wearing Balasaheb Thackeray’s mask.”
“Do you like what’s going on? Is this a democracy? If you want to fight, fight in the field. Say what you want to say; we will say what we want to say; the public will decide. Because it is the highest court. Let the people decide – that is democracy. But they do not accept democracy. All the systems let loose on us like a wolf. I don’t say dog because I like dogs very much. After all, it is honest. A wolf is a wolf and a liar,” Uddhav Thackeray also said at this time.
