Mumbai, 1st April 2024: The Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar Group) has strategically decided to uphold the principles of Former Deputy Prime Minister Late Yashwantrao Chavan in the forthcoming period. Maharashtra State President of NCP Sunil Tatkare has issued a directive to prominently feature Yashwantrao Chavan’s photograph, affixed by the state office, on all boards, banners, hoardings, advertisements, and campaign materials of the party in the upcoming phase. This directive has been communicated through an official letter.
In his communication, Sunil Tatkare underscores Yashwantrao Chavan’s esteemed legacy as a revered figure in Maharashtra’s political landscape. Chavan’s unwavering commitment to democracy, along with his cultural and literary contributions, serves as an enduring source of inspiration for the NCP under the leadership of Ajit Pawar. Yashwantrao Chavan was the first Chief Minister of the State of Bombay and subsequently of the State of Maharashtra. He has also served as Minister of Finance of India.
