MNS Gears Up for Elections: Raj Thackeray Sets Agenda for Party Growth, Highlights Agriculture and Cooperatives
Mumbai, 7th June 2023: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray emphasized the importance of party growth in light of the upcoming local body elections during a meeting with office-bearers yesterday. Thackeray specifically directed them to focus on the agriculture department and cooperative sector in rural areas, as well as establishing branches in urban areas.
Thackeray addressed the gathering of party office-bearers at Ravindra Natyamandir, attended by party leaders, general secretaries, district presidents, division presidents, taluka presidents, and other prominent leaders from Mumbai and various districts. During the meeting, Thackeray instructed the district presidents in Mumbai and other major cities to enhance public relations and initiate branch establishments, particularly in Naka areas. Additionally, there was a recommendation to strengthen connections with ordinary citizens and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by farmers in the state.
To address these issues, the proposal for setting up agricultural clinics in each taluka was put forward, aimed at providing guidance and assistance to farmers. These clinics would offer services such as soil sample testing, crop information, fertilizer recommendations, and other relevant aspects.
Sources indicate that Thackeray has instructed party workers to gather and disseminate information related to the cooperative sector, in addition to establishing the aforementioned farm clinics in every district.
