Maharashtra Government Gives Approval For Pimpri-Chinchwad University, Rs 50 Crores Sanctioned For Shivsrushti Project At Ambegaon Budruk
Mumbai, 13th December 2022: Various important decisions were taken in the state cabinet meeting held today (December 13) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In this meeting, it has been announced that a subsidy of Rs 50 crores will be given to the Shivsrushti project at Ambegaon Budruk in the Pune district. Also, Pimpri Chinchwad University has been approved, and work on it will be started soon.
In this meeting, various issues in the state were discussed and decisions were taken.
• Decision to launch Jalyukt Shivar Mission 2.0 was taken to make Villages in the state water-rich again.
• Kurha – Wadhoda in Jalgaon district will speed up the Islampur Upsa Irrigation Scheme. Rs 2,226 Crore revised expenditure approved.
• Decision was taken to regularize 1,585 daily employees of tribal government ashram schools
• Integration of MGNREGA and various other departments for holistic development of villages. Facilitated families’ missions will be implemented in rural areas of the state.
• Village court to be held at Mauje Sankh in Gaganbawda and Jat talukas.
• Conciliation scheme to resolve disputes over possession of agricultural land will charge nominal registration and stamp duty
• Cashew fruit crop development scheme will be implemented in the state. Farmers of Konkan will benefit from the said decision.
• 60 per cent increase in government-approved public library subsidy. Reading culture will get strength.
• It is also decided to amend labor laws. Outdated provisions will be removed. Provision of enhanced fines instead of imprisonment.
• The government will pay the amount due to the bank against the government guarantee of loans given to 13 cooperative societies.
• Accreditation of self-financing universities of Pimpri Chinchwad University and Universal AI University, Karjat
• Amended provisions of punishment in the Maharashtra Police Act and Maharashtra Cinema Act. Grants to schools in the state will be decriminalized for ‘Ease of Doing Business’, along with this the resignation of Attorney General Ashutosh Kumbakoni was accepted.
