
Jalgaon Railway Accident: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Announces Rs 5 Lakh Aid for Families of Deceased; Free Treatment for Injured
Mumbai, 22nd January 2025: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed his deep condolences for the victims of the tragic railway accident near Pachora in Jalgaon district. He paid tribute to those who lost their lives and announced ₹5 lakh financial assistance for the families of the deceased. He also directed the administration to ensure free treatment for the injured on behalf of the government.
The Chief Minister, who is currently in Davos attending the World Economic Forum, has been closely monitoring the situation.
Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan has reached the accident site to manage and oversee the necessary relief and rescue operations, as informed by the Chief Minister.
In an audiovisual message, CM Fadnavis described the incident as extremely unfortunate and deeply painful. He stated that the loss of lives is heartbreaking. The Jalgaon district administration and railway authorities are working in coordination to ensure immediate arrangements for treating the injured.
Eight ambulances have been dispatched to the site. The general hospital and nearby private hospitals have been prepared to provide medical care to the injured. Emergency equipment such as glass cutters and floodlights has also been deployed.
CM Fadnavis assured that the entire situation is being monitored closely and all necessary aid is being provided promptly. He reiterated that the district administration is in constant communication with his office to ensure seamless rescue and relief operations.
