Full Cooperation To ED Investigation: Testimony Of Iqbal Singh Chahal

Mumbai, 16th January 2023: Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has been called for an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday, and the Commissioner has assured that he will fully cooperate with the investigation system. While Chahal was in the limelight as he was summoned by the ED for investigation, he participated in the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday and spoke to the media.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is already investigating the malpractices in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation while providing health services during the Corona epidemic. The ED has also called the commissioner for inquiry. He has been summoned for questioning on Monday. Chahal had participated in the marathon held in Mumbai on Sunday while the investigation was pending.

When the municipal commissioner was asked about the ED inquiry, he said the show has to go on. “Will go to the ED office on Monday and will assist them accordingly,” he said. When asked for more information about this, he clarified that he will only talk about the marathon.
