Former Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao Appointed Advisor to Telangana Government

Hyderabad, 6th July 2024: Former Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao, who recently switched allegiance from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to the Congress, has been appointed as Advisor (Public Affairs) to the Telangana Government, with the status equivalent to that of a cabinet minister. The orders for his appointment were issued by Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari on Saturday.

Keshava Rao resigned from his position as Rajya Sabha MP and submitted his resignation to Rajya Sabha Chairperson Jagdeep Dhankar on Thursday, which was subsequently accepted on Friday.

Earlier this week, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, during his visit to New Delhi, had announced Keshava Rao’s forthcoming appointment as Advisor to the Telangana Government. This appointment was formalized with the issuance of orders on Saturday.
