Everything Fine in MVA Regarding Seat Sharing, Says Sanjay Raut; Winnability the Only Yardstick to Decide Candidates
Mumbai, 1st January 2024: Sanjay Raut, the leader of Shivsena (UBT), stated on Sunday that everything is progressing smoothly in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), and the sole criterion to decide MVA candidates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be their winning potential. In his earlier statements, Raut had mentioned that Shiv Sena (UBT) would contest 23 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats.
Shiv Sena (UBT), along with Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar group), forms an alliance called Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra. Congress leaders from Maharashtra had expressed their dissatisfaction with Raut’s statement regarding Shiv Sena’s intention to contest 23 Lok Sabha seats.
Additionally, Raut targeted Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadanvis and Ajit Pawar, and Central Minister Narayan Rane for not having the courage to prevent businesses from relocating from Maharashtra to Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi’s home state.
