Deepak Kesarkar Replies To Aditya Thackeray About Comment On Contracts
Mumbai, 16th January 2023: Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray’s clash of accusations has been criticized by School Education Minister and Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena Party spokesperson Deepak Kesarkar for fearing what will happen to Mumbaikars if Mumbai becomes pothole-free, gets better hospitals, beautifies, and changes the lives of Mumbaikars.
There has been misappropriation of crores of rupees in cement concrete road works, and works have been given illegally to certain contractors. Thackeray had criticized that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation was looting by giving contracts when there was no public representative in the corporation. Kesarkar has replied to it.
To provide good quality roads to Mumbaikars, the best companies in the country have been awarded the works of cement concrete roads by inviting competitive tenders. The tenders for the coastal road were sanctioned as per the market rate and 12 per cent more. Kesarkar said, “We have awarded contracts for better quality roads.”
The Thackeray group has taken a hit by coming third in the Gram Panchayat elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Mumbai on 19th January and there will be the Bhoomi Pooja and Inakarpan program of many public amenities projects. “Whatever we do, Aditya Thackeray has a habit of criticizing,” Kesarkar said. He expressed the opinion that if someone is doing something good, there is no reason for him to “have a stomach ache.”
