Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Announces Rs 10 Lakh Aid for Family of Late Journalist Harshal Bhadane Patil

Mumbai/Dhule, 31st July 2024: Times Now Marathi Senior Correspondent Harshal Bhadane Patil passed away in Dhule on Monday (29th July). Harshal’s vehicle was struck by a speeding truck, resulting in his untimely death.

In response, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced immediate financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to Harshal’s family. A check was handed over to the TV Journalists Association executive in the name of Harshal’s wife.

Officials from the TV Journalists Association met with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House. The Chief Minister promised swift assistance, and a check of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to Harshal’s family soon.

Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that a case of culpable homicide will be filed against the truck driver, cleaner, and truck owner responsible for Harshal’s death. He also approved the TVJA’s request to expedite the case in a fast-track court.

Following the directives from Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, the Dhule police have arrested two individuals in connection with the accident. The Home Minister’s office has assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to ensure justice for Harshal’s family.
