Boycott Of Idli-Sambar And Masala Dosa In Pune, NCP’s Unique Protest Against Karnataka Government
Pune, 8th December 2022: Border issues have erupted in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka again. After Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai claimed some villages in Maharashtra as Karnata’s, this controversy began. The bus service running between the two states has been affected by this dispute. After vandalizing Maharashtra vehicles in Belgaum, Karnataka state vehicles are also being targeted in Maharashtra.
Black paint was sprayed on the buses going to Karnataka in protest by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in Pune. On the other hand, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has condemned the whole matter.
NCP spokesperson and former mayor Ankush Kakade said, “We are boycotting southern food such as idli-sambar and masala dosa as a protest against the Karnataka government.” He announced this today (December 8) at Wadeshwar. Wadeshwar is known for bringing together citizens from different races and generations.
Ankush Kakade said, “Many citizens of Karnataka state come to Maharashtra and do business. They have grown up in the lives of the citizens of Maharashtra. But we have started this boycott to show them how the Karnataka government is hating the Marathi people.”
However, he clarified that even though southern food has been boycotted, there is no intention to disturb the hoteliers, traders, or citizens of Karnataka currently residing in Maharashtra. He also said that the boycott will continue till the conflict between Maharashtra and Karnataka states comes to an end.
