BJP Slams Opposition’s Communal Polarization Tactics Amid Mukhtar Ansari’s Demise
New Delhi, 29th March 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded to accusations from the Opposition regarding the demise of gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari, cautioning the public about their tactics of communal polarization. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi highlighted certain regions known as hubs of criminal activities, attributing this transformation to efforts towards inclusive empowerment led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Further condemning the Opposition’s support for a convicted criminal, BJP leader Sidharth Nath Singh emphasized Ansari’s criminal background and criticized the sympathy expressed by leaders from the SP, Congress, and BSP. Singh underscored the serious allegations against Ansari, questioning the moral stance of those advocating for him.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav called for a thorough investigation into Ansari’s death, advocating for the involvement of a Supreme Court judge to uphold public trust in the judicial process.
Ansari, a former MLA and murder convict, passed away due to cardiac arrest while in custody at Banda Medical College. His family members alleged foul play, suggesting he may have been subjected to “slow poison.”
Echoing similar sentiments, BSP president Mayawati also demanded a high-level inquiry into Ansari’s demise, stressing the need to uncover the truth surrounding his death.
Ansari’s son, Umar Ansari, expressed suspicion regarding his father’s sudden death and vowed to pursue legal avenues for investigation, placing trust in the judicial system.
Following Ansari’s demise, the UP administration implemented prohibitory orders and heightened security measures in areas influenced by Ansari’s activities, including Banda, Mau, Ghazipur, and Varanasi.
