BJP MP’s Reference Used By Youths To Enter Parliament
New Delhi, 13th December 2023: A significant security lapse in Parliament has been brought to light as two men seated in the audience gallery jumped down during the winter session proceedings, causing a commotion. One of the men started running towards the MPs but was promptly apprehended. The Delhi Police have arrested the accused, and they are currently undergoing questioning.
According to officials, both men entered Parliament with the reference of BJP MP Pratap Simha, representing the Mysore seat in Karnataka. The accused are identified as Sagar Sharma and an individual known as “Entertainment.” Sources suggest that Sagar Sharma entered Parliament with the reference of BJP MP Pratap Simha, while “Entertainment” hails from Karnataka.
Pratap Simha, 42, is an MP from the Mysore seat in Karnataka and is the son of the late BE Gopal Gowda. He has a master’s degree in journalism and began his career as a journalist with Vijay Karnatak news. Pratap Simha has also authored a biography on PM Narendra Modi titled ‘Narendra Modi: Yaru Thuliada Hadi’ (Narendra Modi: The Untrodden Road).
Congress MP Gurjit Singh Aujla reported that he apprehended the individual causing the disturbance. Recounting the incident, Aujla mentioned being present during the House proceedings when sudden noise erupted. Two young men jumped from the audience gallery, with one attempting to remove his shoe, revealing something inside. Holding an item emitting smoke, Aujla intervened, snatching it away and ejecting the individual from the premises.
