Amit Shah Confident in BJP’s Victory: Foresees Continued Leadership under Modi in Lok Sabha Election

New Delhi, 18th February 2024: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ability to maintain power in the upcoming Lok Sabha election during the party’s convention on Sunday. Shah emphasized the widespread belief among the public that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to lead the country.

Taking a swipe at the Congress party, Shah remarked that if the BJP followed a system of family-run politics, the son of a tea seller would not have risen to become the country’s Prime Minister. The convention was attended by Prime Minister Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, and other senior leaders.

Shah praised the development across various sectors under the Modi government’s tenure, highlighting achievements within a decade. Commending PM Modi’s foreign policy, Shah noted the shift in perception that forming global friendships requires compromising national security. PM Modi prioritized India’s security and aimed to position the country as a global entity, fostering a sense of unity with the concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’

After the national council meeting, Shah announced that BJP leaders would visit each constituency before the Lok Sabha election, disseminating PM Modi’s vision for India in 2047, marking 100 years of independence.

Aiming for the opposition’s INDIA alliance, Shah accused the Congress party of undermining democracy, colouring it with corruption, nepotism, appeasement, and casteism. He criticized these parties for suppressing independent public opinion through undemocratic means.

During the convention, a white paper on the Indian economy during the UPA government’s tenure was released, highlighting financial irregularities.
