Two Children Killed, One Injured After Being Hit by Car in Convoy, Possibly Linked to BJP Candidate
Gonda, 29th May 2024: In an unfortunate incident in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, at least two children lost their lives while another sustained injuries after being struck by a car on the Colonelganj-Huzoorpur road near Baikunth Degree College. The car involved was reportedly part of a convoy, and investigations are underway to ascertain whether it belonged to BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Kaiserganj, Karan Bhushan Singh. However, it’s important to note that Karan Bhushan Singh’s presence in the convoy at the time of the accident is yet to be confirmed, as his name is not initially mentioned in the report.
Following the incident, the authorities swiftly responded, registering a case at Colonelganj police station based on the complaint. The police have taken custody of the vehicle and its driver, ensuring that law and order are maintained at the scene.
Karan Bhushan Singh, the son of former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has been nominated by the BJP as their candidate for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat. Notably, Karan is a national player in double trap shooting and holds educational qualifications in business administration and law, along with a diploma in business management from Australia. He currently serves as the president of the UP Wrestling Association and is venturing into politics with this Lok Sabha election candidacy. His elder brother, Prateek Bhushan, is already a BJP MLA representing Gonda Sadar constituency.
