Narrow Escape for Rahul Gandhi as Platform Collapses During Bihar Rally

Paliganj, 28th May 2024: During an election rally in Bihar on Monday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi narrowly avoided an accident when a section of the platform constructed for the event collapsed. Gandhi was in Paliganj, just outside the state capital, to extend support to RJD president Lalu Prasad’s daughter, Misa Bharti, who is contesting for the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat.

As Bharti escorted Gandhi to his seat, a part of the temporary stage gave way, causing Gandhi to momentarily struggle to maintain his balance. Acting swiftly, Bharti reached out and steadied Gandhi, ensuring he remained upright. Despite the brief moment of concern, both Gandhi and Bharti reassured the worried security personnel that Gandhi was unharmed, sharing smiles as they did so.
