‘Supari Given to Azmi for Aurangzeb Remarks,’ Claims Shiv Sena (UBT) Mouthpiece

Mumbai, 5th March 2025: The Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece Saamana has termed Dhananjay Munde’s resignation as nothing more than a political spectacle, alleging that the BJP orchestrated a distraction to prevent the opposition from gaining credit for his exit.

In its latest editorial, Saamana claimed that Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi’s controversial remarks on Aurangzeb were deliberately timed to shift focus away from Munde’s resignation.

According to the editorial, Azmi’s statement was not coincidental but strategically planted.

“BJP’s trusted ally, Abu Azmi, was handed a contract to make statements on Aurangzeb. His eulogy was not spontaneous but a well-planned move backed by the government. Do they think the people are naive?” the article questioned.

The editorial further alleged that leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi at the national level and Azmi in Maharashtra act as BJP’s covert allies.
“Azmi played his role perfectly as BJP’s ‘Eklavya,’” Saamana remarked, hinting at a calculated strategy to create communal polarization.

Adding to the debate, NCP (Sharad Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar also raised concerns about the timing of Azmi’s remarks, questioning whether they were intended to serve the BJP’s interests.

With political tensions escalating, opposition parties continue to claim that the ruling alliance is manipulating narratives to divert public attention from core governance issues.
