Pune: Supriya Sule Taunts Shinde Government After Molestation Case Filed Against Jitendra Awhad
Pune, 14th November 2022: A woman has filed a molestation case against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Jitendra Awhad. After filing this case, reactions have emerged in the political circle.
MP Supriya Sule has reacted in support of Jitendra Awhad. She has targeted the government without naming Shinde group leader Abdul Sattar. “When a woman is abused, is it not molestation?” – such a reaction has been given by Sule. She was speaking at a press conference in Pune.
At this time, Supriya Sule said that the Chief Minister was in a crowded place, there was the police force, and all this incident was caught on camera. “In this, Jitendra Awhad is saying to the concerned woman, “Why have you come in such a crowd”, is this called molestation in Maharashtra? I would say that this dirty politics is going on. It is not our responsibility to stop this, it is theirs (the Shinde government). Because they are being hurt continuously, none of our MLAs went to the police station with a gun, why no action was taken against them? No action was taken against any of them,” she added further.
Without mentioning Abdul Sattar, Supriya Sule further said that “Abusing a woman is not molestation? This is an insult to a woman. But I did not say a word against it. We have not spoken till today and we will not speak from now on, these are all crimes. Abusing women is a crime. Carrying a gun to the police station is also a crime. Is it okay if you insult the Chief Minister’s secretary? Isn’t this a crime?”
“If your MLA does anything, they say ‘Sau Khoon Maaf Hai’, if we don’t do anything, you file a case against us. Put us in jail. What kind of justice is this? Is this why the ED government has come?” Supriya Sule has also criticized that this government is running on these two things: induce or suppress.
