Pune: Maharashtra’s Skilled Manpower Initiative: Ajit Pawar Highlights Employment Prospects with Germany, Japan, France MoU
Baramati, 4th August 2024: A Digital CNC Simulation Lab has been established at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Malegaon (Taluka Baramati) with CSR funds from Bharat Forge Limited. Ajit Pawar spoke at the inauguration of this lab today. The event was attended by Bharat Forge CSR Head Dr. Leena Deshpande, Joint Director Ramakant Bhavsar, District Vocational Education and Training Officer U.K. Suryavanshi, and several others.
Ajit Pawar remarked, “Maharashtra is an advanced state in the country, and the industry department has made a significant contribution to the overall development of this state.”
He also noted the severe shortage of skilled manpower in European countries like Japan, France, and Germany, contrasting it with India’s capacity to provide skilled workers. To address this, the Government of Maharashtra has signed an MoU regarding the provision of manpower to Germany.
Ajit Pawar added that this initiative will create employment opportunities for about four lakh youths in the state at competitive wages (up to two lakhs per month). Additionally, it is expected to spur the emergence of many new industrial projects in Maharashtra. Given this context, students should be prepared to work anywhere in the world with updated knowledge.
To promote the state’s enterprising image, plan and implement progressive goals, and create a favourable environment for new industries, the government aims to achieve sustainable development by attracting domestic and foreign investment. This approach will create employment opportunities while enhancing human resources and infrastructure.
Pawar emphasized the importance of skilled manpower for industrial development and acknowledged the contributions of well-known companies like Bharat Forge, Tata, and Bajaj to these government efforts. He also praised Bhujangrao Taware, the former Sarpanch who provided space for the establishment of the Malegaon ITI.
