PM Modi Wishes BS Yediyurappa On His Birthday After Shimoga Airport Inauguration
Shimoga, 27th February 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked people to switch on the flashlight of their mobile phones for B. S. Yediyurappa, who celebrated his 80th birthday on Monday. Describing Yediyurappa’s birthday as special, the Prime Minister prayed for his long life.
PM Modi addressed a public meeting after inaugurating the Shimoga Airport. During this, he said, “Today is special for another reason. It is the birthday of Karnataka’s popular leader BS Yediyurappa. I pray for his long life. He dedicated his life to the welfare of the poor and farmers. His speech in the Karnataka Assembly last week is an inspiration to everyone.”
The Prime Minister said, “Even after achieving new heights of success, one must remain humble and down to earth. BS Yediyurappa’s life, as well as his speech in the assembly, has always inspired me and others who are in the public eye. He has inspired me. He will continue to inspire the generations to come.”
PM Modi also said, “Today, Shimoga has got its airport. It was a long-standing demand, and now it has been fulfilled. The airport is grand and beautiful. It represents a unique blend of Karnataka’s tradition and modern technology.”
Addressing a gathering after the inauguration of the airport, PM Modi said, “I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth thousands of crores of rupees for the development of Karnataka. The airport has been found. It is beautiful and grand. This airport will inspire the youth of the state to fulfil their dreams.”
Additional Director General of Police Alok Kumar visited Channamma Circle to review the security preparedness ahead of the roadshow. He said, “Strong security arrangements have been made for PM Modi’s roadshow. Adequate police deployment has been made on the route of the roadshow. 6 SPs, 11 ASPs, 28 DSPs, 60 Inspectors, 22 KSRP squads and a total of 3,000 police personnel have been deployed. It will be a 10.7 km roadshow.”
PM Modi will inaugurate water supply projects worth Rs 2,500 crore in the Shimoga and Belagavi districts of Karnataka. During this, he will also do a road show in Belagavi.
