PM Modi Preside Over National Conference Of Chief Secretaries, Six Points To Be Discussed
Delhi, 6th January 2023: Today, the second National Conference of Chief Secretaries is being organized in Delhi. This three-day conference started on 5th January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presiding over this meeting on Friday and Saturday. The conclave will focus on achieving rapid and sustained economic growth in partnership with the states. Through this conference, an attempt will be made to state that cooperative federalism is an important pillar for the development and progress of the country by working together with the central ministries and departments. The first such conference of Chief Secretaries was to be held in June 2022 at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
The three-day conclave will focus on achieving rapid and sustained economic growth in partnership with the states. More than 200 people are participating in it. It includes representatives of the central government, chief secretaries of all states and union territories, and other senior officers and experts.
The conference will lay the groundwork for a collaborative action plan to achieve the goal of a developed India with an emphasis on growth, job creation, and inclusive human development. This conference will be a major step towards further promoting the partnership between the Central and State Governments.
According to the information given by the PMO, this conference will discuss six topics, including MSME, infrastructure, reducing compliance, women empowerment, health and nutrition, and skill development. For the last three months, consultations took place between key ministries – NITI Aayog, States, Union Territories and experts – related to these subjects.
