Manoj Bajpayee Faces Dilemma During “Bhaiya Ji” Shoot
Pune, 27th May 2024: During the filming of “Bhaiya Ji,” renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee encountered a challenging situation. Known for his captivating screen presence, Bajpayee, famous for portraying negative roles in movies like “Gangs of Wasseypur,” continues to draw attention with his latest venture, “Bhaiya Ji.” Despite the film’s promising start, there’s a surprising revelation concerning the makers’ communication with Bajpayee upon its completion.
“Bhaiya Ji,” featuring Manoj Bajpayee, hits theaters, showcasing the actor in both positive and negative roles. While the film boasts powerful performances by a talented cast, critiques have highlighted weaknesses in its storyline. Nevertheless, Bajpayee’s charisma strikes a chord with audiences, attracting them to cinemas.
The film “Bhaiya Ji” enjoyed a successful opening weekend at the box office, grossing 1.44 crore rupees initially. By the end of the weekend, it amassed a total net business of 5.05 crore rupees in the domestic market.
The production budget exceeded for ‘Bhaiya Ji’
In today’s industry landscape, the fees of many leading actors have soared significantly. This upward trend often impacts the production quality of films. While the production standards may not be compromised, producers frequently negotiate profit-sharing agreements with actors to accommodate their high fees. Such was the case with Manoj Bajpayee. Vinod Bhanushali elaborated, stating, “We informed Manoj Ji that we couldn’t match his usual fee for this film. So, we proposed that he almost halve his fee and become a co-producer.”
Recently, Manoj Bajpayee also assumed a producer’s role under similar conditions for the film ‘Bhaiya Ji.’ Released on Friday, the film debuted with an opening of Rs 1.44 crore, with the first weekend yielding a net business of Rs 5.05 crore in the domestic market.
