Investments Worth Over Rs 42,000 Crore Signed In Presence Of Maharashtra CM
Davos, 17th January 2023: In the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Davos this afternoon, investment MoUs worth Rs 42.520 crore were signed with various industries. In this way, so far about 88,420 crores of investment agreements have been signed, and the process of agreement with the related industries regarding other projects is underway. Discussions also took place with the Bank of Japan regarding the Supa Industrial Estate.
A few contracts were signed today, such as the Rs 400 crore plastic automotive project of Portugal’s Elite Plast Auto Systems at Pimpri in Pune district (2 thousand jobs), the Rs 20 thousand crore investment auto project of Gogoro Engineering and Badway Engineering (30 thousand jobs in various places in the state), America’s New Era Cleantech Solution’s Rs 20,000 crore coal gasification project at Bhadravati in Chandrapur district (15,000 jobs), Britain’s Varad Ferro Alloys’ Rs 1,520 crore steel project at Charmoshi in Gadchiroli district (2,000 jobs), Israel’s Rajuri Steels and Alloys subsidiary in Chandrapur district, and 600 crore steel project (employment one thousand).
Discussions with the Bank of Japan regarding Supa Industrial Estate
Japan Bank’s Executive Managing Director Shigeto Hashiyama held a meeting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Maharashtra Hall. The Chief Minister said that among the 11 industrial estates in the country which have been set up in cooperation with the Japanese Bank, Supa MIDC is providing good electricity, water and connectivity to the industrial park. An environment conducive to industries has been created here and the ecosystem of the industrial park was also discussed.
